Administer security activities including planning of policy or guard secruity. Establish and enforce secruity procedures for protection of company and employee property; make recommendations on special security and staffing problems as required; recommend police personnel requirements of each facility and assign personnel to factilities to maintain authorized strengths; supervise and conduct confidential investigations as required and make recommendations on preventative or remedial action; assist employment section regarding applicants' references and security clearances; cooperate with law enforecment agencies on investigations of irregularities connected with company secruity. May also assist local Civil Defense Program, cooperate in the company safety program and coordinate the plant or office parking facilities and regulations.
Work Settings
Entire facility, including office and manufacturing floor. The average workweek is 40 hours. While many manufacturers operate 24 hours/day, this position usually works during first shift.
Education
Bachelors or Associates degree with 1-2 years job related experience
