IST - Personal Computer Specialist

Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining internal mini- and micro- computing operations. Follows industry and company procedures and practices to install and maintain software, hardware and networking capabilities. Stays abreast of new developments or techniques. Will train or assist in the training of employees in the proper use of programs and packages.
Work Settings
Office or manufacturing floor settings (dependent upon location of organizations computers). The average workweek is 40 hours. While many manufacturers operate 24 hours/day, this position usually works during first shift.
Education
An Associate's degree in computer science and (1) year of computer systems maintenance experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
