Directs the Information Systems activities within the organization. Establishes policies for maintaining current program effectiveness. Develops recommendations regarding new hardware and software. Establishes budgetary and performance controls. Maintains documentation on current systems. Provides technical assistance to other departments in the organization as requested. Supervises the Management Information Systems staff.
Work Settings
Office setting. The average workweek is 40 hours. While many manufacturers operate 24 hours/day, this position usually works during first shift.
Education
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, business administration, computer sciences or a related field and 3 - 5 years of management experience
