Directs the establishment of accounting principles, practices and procedures. Maintains all accounting records and is responsible for the development, analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting information to appraise operating results in terms of costs, budgets, policies of operations, trends and increased profit possibilities. May direct accounts receivable maintenance and collections; control disbursement of company cash and maintain adequate cash flow to finance day- to-day operations
Work Settings
Office setting. The average workweek is 40 hours. While many manufacturers operate 24 hours/day, this position usually works during first shift.
Education
Masters Degree in Finance or Accounting, 5-8 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, and a CPA
