Prepares income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements and various other accounting statements and reports; analyzes financial reports and records, making studies or recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets and the like; conducts special studies and develops or recommends accounting methods and procedures; may instruct or assign work to bookkeepers, accounting clerks and other employees engaged in general accounting activities; coordinates accounting matters with other departments, locations and divisions. May utilize CRT to input, retrieve or display accounting information.
Work Settings
Office setting. The average workweek is 40 hours. While many manufacturers operate 24 hours/day, this position usually works during first shift.
Education
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field or two years college with courses in accounting, business, or equivalent experience
